"Hello, my name is Amy Lantigua and this is my story.
I came to the United States when I was thirteen years old from the Dominican Republic.
I didn’t know English and I always carried with me a dictionary in order to understand what was going on around me, but, nevertheless, with dedication and all the effort that I put in, I was able to graduate from high school here in Florida, and, as well, went to Valencia College, then transferred to UCF.
Through all the support that each school gave me and all the motivation that it gave me to help my family, I was able to graduate from UCF with a bachelor’s degree in management and marketing. All that is thanks to the dedication and all the help that I got from everyone. Thank you."
